The fitness assessment test is applicable for a 2 km walk only.

  70 - 89     Fair  
  90 - 110     Good (Bronze)  
  111 - 130     Very Good (Silver)  
  > 130     Excellent (Gold)  



FORMULA FOR CALCULATING YOUR FITNESS INDEX


  Gender     Fitness Index  
  Men     420 + Age X 0.2 - Walking Time (2 km) X 11.6 - BMI X 2.6 - Heart Rate X 0.56  
  Women     364 + Age X 0.4 - Walking Time (2 km) X 8.5 - BMI X 1.1 - Heart Rate X 0.32  



Example:

A man who is 25 years old completed his 2 km walk in 15 minutes, with a heart rate of 115 beats per minute and his BMI is 25.

His Fitness Index =

420 + (25) X 0.2 - 15 X 11.6 - (25) X 2.6 - (115) X 0.56 = 121.6

He had achieved a fitness index of 121.6 which means "Very Good" in the Classification Table.
