Members' Portal

 

 

 
 1. Accessing The Portal

The Fun Walkers @ South West Members' Portal can be accessed via the web address http://funwalkers.southwestcdc.org.sg using Internet Explorer or any compatible web browsers.

The portal is available to all members of the public to browse for information pertaining to the clubs and activities organized by the different clubs. However, only members are allowed to perform certain specific transactions which will be covered in greater details in this chapter. The Fun Walkers @ South West Members' Portal is best viewed on your monitor using a 1024 X 768 or higher screen resolution setting.

 

 

 

 
 2. Registering as a Member

The public can register themselves to be a member of a Fun Walkers Club @ South West through this portal. An online registration page for registering to be a member is available on this portal.

To register as a member online, click on the "Join Us" link on the top navigation bar of the page as shown in the screenshot below.

You will be redirected to a page as shown below. You may either click on "Download Registration Form" to download the form to be submitted manually to the club which you want to join, or you may click on the "Online Registration" link to register your membership online. The online registration process should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

To register online, click on the "Online Registration" hyperlink as shown above. An online registration form will be presented to you as shown in the series of screenshots below. You will first be prompted to fill in your NRIC/FIN number, followed by your desired username and passwords, followed by your personal particulars. Please complete the entire registration by filling in all the necessary details. All fields marked with an asterisk ( * ) are compulsory fields and have to be filled in. NOTE: If the NRIC/FIN number that has been entered already exists in the Citizen Partners Portal's database, the system will prompt you to import the data into the Fun Walkers @ South West system. In such a situation, your username and password will also be taken from your user account from the Citizen Partners Portal and this set of username and password will be shared by these 2 systems.

                    

An email will be sent to the registrants email account upon completion of the registration process as a form of confirmation of his/her registration as a member of a Fun Walkers Club @ South West.

 

 

 

 

 
 3. Logging in to Fun Walkers @ South West Members Portal

The Fun Walkers @ South West Portal is open to the public for general viewing of club activities and club details. However, as a registered member of a Fun Walkers Club @ South West, you are able to log in to the portal to register for activities and view your participation records.

To log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal, click on the "Login" link on the top navigation bar as shown in the screen capture below. Enter your username and password in the textboxes provided and click on "Go!" to proceed with the login.

In the event that you are unable to log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal, you might have forgotten your username and/or password. Should this problem arise, you may want to reset your username and password and try logging in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal again.

NOTE: If you have a registered account in the Citizen Partners Portal with the same NRIC/FIN number, you will be sharing a same set of username and password for both portals.

 

 

 

 
 4. Resetting of username and password

Logging in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal requires a username and password for authentication purposes. However, if you happen to forget your username or password, you may reset your username and password by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link in the login panel as indicated below.

A Reset Password panel will appear on the screen (as shown below ) for you to reset your username and password. Fill in your NRIC/FIN number and email address on file in the system and click on "Go!". If the NRIC/FIN number and Email address which you have provided matches the information of your account which the system has on file in the database, an email will be sent out to your email address with your updated username and password.

If you are unable to reset your username and password, please contact South West CDC.

 

 

 

 
 5. Updating of password

It is advisable to update your login password to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal periodically for security reasons.

To update your password, you must first log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal. Move your mouse cursor over "My Profile" on the top navigation bar and select "Change Password" by clicking on it (as shown below). A Change Password panel will appear as shown below. Enter your new password and click on "Go!" to renew your password.

If you are unable to change your password, please contact South West CDC at citizenpartners@southwestcdc.org.sg.

 

 

 

 
 6. Updating of Personal Particulars

The Fun Walkers @ South West Portal stores information of members so as to provide more personalised services. It is important to keep these information updated so as to allow your Club Leaders and the staff of South West CDC  to provide you with information that you require.

To update your personal particulars, you must first log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal. Move your mouse cursor over "My Profile" at the top navigation bar and select "Edit Profile" by clicking on it (as shown below). Update your personal particulars and click on to save your personal particulars into the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal.

Please inform the South West CDC at citizenpartners@southwestcdc.org.sg if you are unable to update your personal particulars.

 

 

 

 
 7. Health Survey Questionnaire

As part of South West CDC's continuous effort to provide for your needs, the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal collects survey results from you for analytical purposes.

The Fun Walkers @ South West Portal automatically prompts you (after you have successfully logged in to the system) to complete a Health Survey Questionnaire if you have not already updated the health survey within the last 6 months. You may also choose to update the Health Survey Questionnaire as and when you like by clicking on the "Health Survey" link on the left navigation bar on the Edit Profile page as shown below.

You will be brought to a page which displays all the questions in the Health Survey Questionnaire as shown below. Fill in the answers to the survey and click on to submit your answers to the South West CDC. NOTE: Some questions are compulsory and require you to fill in an answer. If the system detects that you have not entered an answer, the system will prompt you to fill in an answer when you submit your survey.

 

 

 

 8. Viewing of Activities Participation Records

As members of the Fun Walkers Clubs @ South West, you can be involved by registering for club activities. By accessing the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal, you are able to view a list of club activities organized by your Fun Walkers Club @ South West which you have registered yourself for.

To view the list of activities which you have participated in or registered yourself for, you must first log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal. Move your mouse cursor over "My Profile" at the top navigation bar and select "My Records" by clicking on it (as shown below)

To view the list of activities which you had participated in before, click on "Completed Walks" on the left navigation bar as shown on the screen capture above. To view the list of upcoming activities which you have registered yourself for, please click on "Upcoming Walks" as shown on the left navigation bar as shown on the screen capture above. The system will display a list of all the completed walks which you have participated in (as shown on the left screenshot below) or the list of upcoming activities which you have registered to participate in (as shown on the right screenshot below).

     

To view the details of the individual activities, click on the activity title.

 

 

 

 
 9. Viewing of Walking Trails

The Walking Trails section of the portal provides members with information and descriptions of trails that have been identified by the Fun Walkers Clubs to be suitable for walks. Walking Trails are separated into 2 categories - namely Thematic Trails and Heartland Trails.

Thematic Trails

Thematic Trails are walking trails that have been categorized based on the thematic nature of the trails. To access the Thematic Trails, move your mouse cursor over "Walking Trails" at the top navigation bar and select "Thematic Trails" by clicking on it (as shown on the screenshot above).

To view the Walking Trails in the Thematic Trails list, click on any of the themes on the left navigation bar as highlighted in the screen capture shown above. The system provides short descriptions of the various Thematic Trails along with hyperlinks and contact information of the various locations for you to search for more information.

Heartland Trails

Heartland Trails are Walking Trails that have been added into the system by the club leaders of the Fun Walkers Clubs. Most of these Walking Trails are situated within the heartland towns of Singapore. To access the Heartland Trails, move your mouse cursor over "Walking Trails" at the top navigation bar and select "Heartland Trails" by clicking on it (as shown on the screenshot above).

The system provides you with some brief description and information of the Heartland Trails within the page. To view the map of the location of a Heartland Trail, click on the image to the left of the description of the Heartland Trail which you are interested in (as shown on the screenshot above). A new window will pop up with a clearer picture of the location of the Heartland Trail.

 

 

 

 
 10. Viewing of Activities

Activities are constantly posted up onto the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal for members and public to view. Members of the Fun Walkers Clubs @ South West may login to the portal and register themselves for activities organised by their respective clubs while the general public are only able to have an extensive view of all the activities that are organised by the respective clubs. To view the list of activities available, click on the "Club Activities" link on the top navigation bar as shown below. NOTE: If you have already logged in to the portal, the system will only display the list of activities which your club has organised at this page. To view all the activities organised by the other clubs, log out from the system and click on the "Club Activities" link on the top navigation bar as shown below.

The system displays the list of upcoming activities by default. The page provides you with information of the upcoming activities (eg. Date and time of activity, reporting time, reporting venue, reporting officer's name, description of activity etc.). A icon will be displayed beside activites which have been recently added to the system. A icon will be displayed beside activities which have been recently updated. If you have already logged in to the system and an activity organised by your club appears in this list, you may click on the  link to register yourself for the activity. Registering for club activities will be discussed in details further in this chapter.

To view the list of completed activities, click on the "Completed Activities" link on the left navigation bar as shown on the screenshot above.

At the completion of an event, club leaders may upload photos that were taken during the event into the system. To view photos that were taken during an activity, click on the "View Photos" link at the completed activities listing page (as shown in the screenshot above). If no photos were uploaded for that particular activity, the "View Photos" link will not appear on the completed activities listing page. The system will redirect you to the Club Activity Photos listing page as shown in the screenshot below.

Use the "◄Previous" and "Next" hyperlinks to toggle between the photos.

 

 

 

 
 11. Viewing of Club Details

The Fun Walkers Clubs @ South West are grouped based on the division which they belong to. To view the details of clubs within a division in the South West district, move your mouse cursor over "Clubs" at the top navigation bar and select the name of the division which you want to view or simply click on "All Clubs" to view the list of all the available Fun Walkers Clubs @ South West (as shown on the screenshot below).

The system generates a list of Fun Walkers Clubs based on your selection. Contact information of the clubs are displayed for your reference (as shown below).

 

 

 

 
 12. Registering for Club Activities

Club leaders will constantly be organizing club activities. When a new activity is created in the system, Club Leaders will have the option to send out invitation emails to their members to participate in the activity. There are 2 simple ways to sign up for an activity - namely through the invitation email or manual login to the portal.

Registering For Activities From Invitation Email

          

If your email address is saved in the system, your will expect to receive invitation emails from your club leaders. When you receive an invitation email (as shown on the left above), you may simply click on the hyperlinks to register yourself for the activity. The system will then prompt you for your username and password (as shown on the right above). Enter your username and passwords and click on "Go!". The system will automatically register you for the activity.

Registering For Activities From Portal

If you have not received any invitation emails and wish to participate in an activity organized by your club, you may log in to the Fun Walkers @ South West Portal and view club activities. Click on the link to register yourself for the activity as shown below. NOTE: You may only register for an activity after you have logged in to the system.
